Job Description:
Ministry Home Care Services is looking for a casual Respiratory Therapist to join their dedicated team. This individual will be filling in for sick days,vacations,and leaves.There will be rotatingweekend and holiday work associated with this position. Includes 1 night per week on callas well. Primary shift is 8:30am-5:00pm.Responsible for the coordination of equipment management and clinical respiratory care activities, providing services for patients in alternate site locations. Effectively renders quality patient care in accordance with professional practice, standards, policies and procedures and accrediting bodies. Evaluates patients for effectiveness of respiratory care, pulmonary management and specialized functions. Reviews physician orders, performs patient assessments and makes appropriate clinical decisions regarding patient care. Communicates appropriate patient information to physicians and referral sources, clarifies written/verbal orders when necessary. Accurately completes all required documentation, including patient assessments, progress notes, compliance information and patient specific plan of care. Documentation to be submitted timely. Provide educational inservices to staff members, physicians and other customers. Maintains appropriate licenses to comply with federal, state and local regulations. Participates in on-call activities, including weekend and holiday coverage. Provides a safe environment for the patients at all times and reports unusual occurrences to their supervisor. Incorporates a customer services philosophy to ensure customer expectations are not only met but also exceeded. Assist the branch in meeting goals of continuous performance improvement and excellent customer service by providing a role model of professional leadership. Adheres to all company and departmental policies, procedures, safety regulations, and guidelines.
