The CCA provides personal care and health maintenance to individuals and families in the home setting within the framework of VON philosophy, policies, procedures and standards, in community health care.
Responsibilities:
As a Continuing Care Assistant you will work in the community to provide services including personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and respite to clients in their own homes.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail; Lift and carry using appropriate lifting techniques; Bend, push, pull, grip, reach, kneel, crouch using good body mechanics; Walk, sit, stand, climb stairs; Hand movements
Qualifications:
• Continuing Care Certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Current CPR/First Aid required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong assessment skills
• Ability to take direction
• Ability to work independently
• Experience working in different social and economic environments
