We are looking for a Logistics and Supply Chain Operations Improvement Manager to be a leader on the Logistics team as we build the infrastructure needed to support the US market for substantial growth.  The Logistics and Supply Chain Operations Improvement Manager will drive the path for inbound logistics, distribution, ecommerce fulfillment, transportation, and store logistics activities in the United States.  This will include determining the overall network setup for the US Market, supporting our partners, and making improvements to improve quality and service level while reducing cost.

Responsibility:

  • Actively work across stakeholders including Partner Companies, IT, Merchandising and Allocation, and Finance teams on understanding current processes, proposing enhancements and agreeing on expected outcomes/timelines
  • “Own” multiple projects and drive them from initial concept, developing specifications, testing, to final implementing and monitoring.  Scope will include project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Drive development of quantitative models necessary for evaluation and implementation of new potential partners or improvements  with current partners
  • Lead projects to optimize processes in warehouse and transportation areas.  Examples may include updates to the picking process that will lower picking costs or modifications to store delivery routes to consolidate trucks and reduce cost.
  • Lead projects to determine number and location of distribution facilities over various horizons to support the growth on UNIQLO’s business

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (computer science, engineering, math or economics a plus)
  • Minimum five (5) years work experience in a similar role and/or area of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited structure and direct supervision.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including cross-functional project management
  • Proven track record of developing and driving adoption of cross departmental processes
  • Experience interfacing with outside vendors
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to drive results
  • Strong computer skills including MS Excel and MS Access.
