Position Summary
The Office Assistant 2 provides office, clerical and fiscal support for the Office for Equal Opportunity. Duties include, but are not limited to, serving as a point of contact for staff, faculty, students and other constituencies; answering main office phone line; greeting and referring visitors; scheduling meetings and appointments; distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing office mail; preparing fiscal, travel and personnel documents; ordering office supplies; maintaining office equipment; and maintaining office record keeping systems, both paper and electronic. 

This position requires frequent contact with clients, the public, and university staff, faculty and students. Ensuring a confidential environment at all times is critical.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalent and one year of clerical experience; OR equivalent education/experience.  
Minimum/Required Qualifications continued:
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).  
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience serving as a primary point-of-contact in an office environment. 

Experience working in higher education. 

Familiarity with Washington State University. 

Experience handling confidential documents and information. 

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
