Description

The Dow Chemical Company has an opening for an Office Professional inMidland, MI. The purpose of this job is to support the Business Service Business Office.

Responsibilities:

Administrative support for BSBO Core
Primary support for Vicki Rupp, approving expense reports, calendaring, travel, meeting preparation
Maintaining calendars for all of BSBO Core as well as Global Director
Meeting planning, travel, expense reporting, fsm for BSBO
Manage organization charts and dist list to make sure appropriate websites have been updated
Must be able to work out solutions to daily scheduling challenges and work collaboratively with multiple global regions
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
Responsible and dependable; ability to work with minimal supervision.
Understands and recognizes priorities, deadlines and has a sense of urgency; ability to manage stress and workload in fast paced environment
Exhibits initiative and takes an enthusiastic pro-active approach to work
File share:
Provide security access for “Finance Admin, SCM_Downet, EFG” file share
Create a secure working environment for the BSBO
Keep the file share in a well organized structure according to Dow’s operating discipline to better serve our clients
Administrative Team:
Work with other DSB OP’s and ensure coverage in the time of absences
Work Group contact: communicate all necessary information for the teams to be well informed. Attend WGC meetings and gather information to better meet the demands of the client.
Focal point for ordering all supplies for kitchens and office supplies.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of Dow experience in the administrative role
  • Proficient in multiple computer programs (Microsoft office, Power Point, Excel and various other Dow systems and processes, File share management, WebEx, SharePoint, Dow intranet, etc.)
  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to adapt to changing and conflicting priorities
  • Must be able to multi task
  • Must be able to maintain and handle confidential information
  • Must be comfortable speaking with all levels of employees within the organization, including senior management
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or Qualifying Asylee/Refugee).
Education:
  • Associate degree or higher required
