Resident Assistant-Pinnacle Heights
1 Casual Opening: Sat/Sun 4pm-12am
To facilitate program activities ensuring Volunteers of America of Western New York’s philosophy and practices are carried out in all areas of client care in conformance with, DHHS, HUD and other programmatic contracts.
Job Summary
  • Ensure the protection and safety of residents, staff and site.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
  • Complete Intakes and checkouts in accordance with program procedures for residents entering or leaving the facility.
  • Ensures the accuracy of records and logs in accordance to regulatory and agency guidelines.
  • Assists residents to understand and follow policies and program rules.
  • Acts as a liaison with residents, outside agencies and staff within Volunteers of America of Western New York, Inc. guidelines.
  • Complete Intakes and checkouts in accordance with program procedures for residents entering or leaving the facility.
  • Provides other assistance to residents and program staff as needed.
  • Accurately inputs information into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS).
  • Report any issues or concerns to supervisor in accordance with divisional guidelines.

Requirements


Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED; Associate’s or experience in criminal justice or human services setting preferred.
  • One year previous experience in Human Service, Residential, or Security field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Completion of First Aid and CPR certification within the first ninety days of hire
