ICAP seeks a Short Term Casual on a part-time temporary basis to support the Senior Communications Manager in day-to-day functions and the development of ICAP communications materials, including email blasts, newsletters, presentations, basic graphic design, and other digital and print materials.
Duties Include:
- Manage and update ICAP contacts database; develop and distribute blast emails in Constant Contact
- Write, edit, review, and prepare content for publications and online
- Support development of presentations in PowerPoint
- Support document preparation and formatting in Word
- Update ICAP website and social media platforms (Facebook & Twitter)
- Provide basic graphic design support, including creating charts and figures; image editing, etc.
- Utilize and maintain ICAP photo gallery in Flickr
- Support event planning, promotion and day-of logistics support (occasional, limited evening hours)
- Basic research, troubleshooting and related duties, as assigned. |
Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant | - Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public health, marketing, or related field

Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant | - Two (2) to four (4) years of corporate or non-profit marketing communications experience
- Very strong skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrated skill in using content management systems and email marketing platforms
- Strong feel for content and presentation, and experience writing for the web
- Excellent problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in teams under tight deadlines
- Ability to juggle multiple demands, manage shifting priorities and negotiate deadlines |
