Black Bottle, in the heart of Belltown is seeking an exceptional FOH Manager. Black Bottle’s mission is to provide a convivial, tavern atmosphere, with equal emphasis on food and beverage. We strive to make service casual, attentive, effective and without pretension. An eclectic menu offers affordable cuisine that is both easy to share and of high quality, using local and sustainable ingredients whenever possible.We are looking for a manager who is not just a delegator, but a natural leader that possesses strong knowledge of front of house operations including food, beverage, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction. Looking for a personality that is both easy going, yet focused and task oriented. Ideal candidate would be looking to contribute new ideas, but also adapt to some important systems in place. You need to be a self-motivator who can work easily on tasks on your own, but also enjoy working with a team and do so with ease. Positive, upbeat and a light hearted sense of humor is a plus. This is a mid to entry level position, and would be a great fit for someone who is both passionate about the industry and aspiring to get into management.Daily responsibilities would include but not be limited to: • Ensuring smooth floor operations and interface between both FOH and BOH to provide efficient service for the guest • Publishing the schedule and ensuring staff is arriving on time and as scheduled • Maintaining standards of cleanliness and paying close attention to the details • Train, coach and motivate staff in a way that is both positive and inspiring • Ensuring guests enjoy a memorable and positive experienceSkills and responsibilities you will develop • Inventory management • Assisting with accounting • Leading weekly meeting with other managers and owners, publishing weekly minutes from the meetings • Reconcile the tills on a daily basis • PayrollThis is a full time position, 5 nights a week, typical night for the manager ends between 10pm and midnight.
