Manager of Training & Development Lakeshore Learning Materials is one of the premier manufacturers of educational materials for elementary programs, early childhood organizations and parents around the country. We are looking for a Manager of Training & Development for our expanding Retail Division. With a minimum of three years experience in retail multi-unit training, candidate must be able to provide leadership, direction & support in all areas of training including field and corporate. Additional job responsibilities include: • Increase business growth, employee retention & engagement by developing skill & improving knowledge in the workforce. • Identify needs, design, develop & oversee training programs in all levels of office/field employees including multi-unit management positions. • Assess quality, consistency & effectiveness of existing training programs and their execution. • Develop, implement, and maintain written training materials/manuals. • Manage all employee training records. The ideal candidate is dynamic, energetic, has excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as project management experience. Strong customer service, organizational & time management skills are essential. A strong sense of urgency is required as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must. Knowledge of laws & codes as they pertain to the workplace is a plus. Some travel is required.
