MinisterSearch (www.MinisterSearch.com) is delighted to offer an opportunity for Senior Pastors at a great,spirit-filled church of about 700 in a lovely area of Northern Alabama. This established church was founded by people who desired a place where the freedom of the Holy Spirit, freedom of worship and integrity of the Word could co-exist. As growth took place and ministry developed a strong emphasis on missions, both home and abroad took place. While supporting missionaries around the world, a food ministry was developed that serves thousands each year in their region. Within the ministries of the church, there are over 40 staff that serve together as they see the Kingdom of God develop before them.
They currently have two Sunday services in a casual atmosphere, and have a stable effective ministry with great diversity. In addition to having a strong core of members, this church values people—they HONOR people—they are pulsating in the community!
In addition to being a great church, the location is wonderful. This area of northwestern Alabama, known as The Shoals, has a rich history and is home to several well-known Alabama attractions. There is also a wide variety of outdoor recreation to enjoy at numerous lakes. Considered the primary economic hub of northwestern Alabama and located on the banks of the Tennessee River, the city offers diverse attractions, including boating, fishing, golfing, birding and hiking. Across the river, Muscle Shoals is rich in musical heritage, and world-class golf is just a short drive away at The Shoals, part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. There are also museums, theater, gallery exhibits in the Center for the Arts, and numerous festivals.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:
- The senior pastor has the primary preaching duties for all services
- Preach weekly in multiple services as lead communicator
- Minister to and serves the congregation for the sake of Christ
- Hear, communicate, and develop what the Lord has for the church
- Advise the pastoral team and elders to further the vision of the church’s ministry
- Supervise, mentor, and lead the work of the church and Pastoral staff in their related ministries with accommodating direction, development, and management
- Work together with the Executive Pastor and the staff in the daily operations of ministry
- Conduct weekly pastoral meetings
- Be involved in and committed to the whole community
- Develop, disciple, lead, and engage on a daily basis with people with different personalities and from different backgrounds
- Be a pastor’s pastor to those on staff and in the congregation
- Demonstrate a servant's heart, embracing the church's perspective of valuing and honoring people
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Visionary leader that can both carry the present vision of the church into the future as well as develop further ministry opportunities as the vision expand
- A person of impeccable integrity and character
- Continually studying and seeking the Lord
- Four-year degree and some Bible School or Seminary
- Senior pastor experience in a medium-size church with demonstrable success
- Loves developing and discipling
- Desire to make this church your home for the long-term; place to raise your family and put down roots;
- Must be an excellent, engaging preacher who teaches from the Word and is led by the Holy Ghost
- Someone who can lead people into ministry
- Proficient experience with multiple staffs and ability to relate well with different personalities
- Must be a good leader who has self-confidence while possessing the heart of a shepherd and a servant
- A pastor to other pastors
- Possesses excellent decision-making skills using the wisdom and discernment empowered by God
- Ability to work with other strong personalities
- High energy person who transmits his energy to those around him
