Maintenance Laborer
Cobham Mission Systems in Davenport Iowa is seeking a Maintenance Laborer to perform general building and grounds maintenance.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble and move office furnishings as required.
- Perform a variety of duties including basic carpentry, painting, concrete and sheet metal work.
- Construct shipping crates and containers.
- Replace light bulbs throughout the facility.
- Handles, segregates, stores and disposes of all hazardous waste generated throughout the plant.
- Drive company vehicle to pick up repair parts or take to the shop for maintenance.
- Perform custodial duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of industrial or trades experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be skilled in the use of all tools and equipment needed for performance of job duties.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to get along with co-workers.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work at heights on ladders up to 12 feet.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read and evaluate blueprints, sketches, diagrams, machine specifications, etc.
- Experience working with forklifts and aerial devices.
