We’re seeking a highly organized, detail orientated payroll administrator with a “can do” attitude to support all administrative activities necessary to support multi-state retail payrolls. This role will be responsible for supporting approximately 350 –500 employees across 38 retail stores and 13 states including California.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily activities related to the processing and control of 2 bi-weekly payrolls.
  • Reconciliation, control, disbursement and reporting of employees authorized and/or legally mandated payroll deductions.
  • Creating and running various reports used for disbursements of voluntary and involuntary payroll deductions to various vendors, tracking of various payroll data for auditing.
  • Checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance.
  • Maintaining time and attendance records, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions.
  • Processing terminations.
  • Processing manual paycheck requests for California terminations.
  • Data entry of new hires into ADP.
  • Clerical duties such as creating employee files, filing and opening and distributing department mail.
  • Posting changes in pay and tax status.
  • Run voluntary deduction reports.
  • Calculating and preparing entries.
  • Inspecting automated system output such as payroll registers and standard reports, determining and correcting out-of-balance conditions.
  • Researching and preparing special reports for management.
  • Maintaining payroll and related records.
  • Accurately recording the accumulation and use of vacations, holidays, sick days, and miscellaneous leaves of absence.
  • Process and enter third party sick pay.
     
Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in the following systems: ADP Pay Force, ADP Reporting, Excel, Outlook, ADP Time Saver and ADP e-Time.
  • Experience working in a corporate retail environment.
  • Multi-State payroll processing experience a must.
  • Must have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have the ability to handle confidential matters using sound judgment and discretion.
  • Must be detail oriented.
