The job description is as follows:
This position serves as a communications business partner, reporting to the Communications Manager. Job scope involves the creation of a wide variety of communications that support divisional goals, key projects, and initiatives. The ideal candidate is confident and competent working within a variety of digital and traditional communication channels, and passionate about delivering Red Ribbon Service and Putting People First.

The job description is as follows:
This position serves as a communications business partner, reporting to the Communications Manager. Job scope involves the creation of a wide variety of communications that support divisional goals, key projects, and initiatives. The ideal candidate is confident and competent working within a variety of digital and traditional communication channels, and passionate about delivering Red Ribbon Service and Putting People First.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Communications Manager and to promote specific initiatives to targeted audiences within the division
- Preparing communication materials related to various topics and events for a variety of mediums (email, posters, announcements, intranet stories, plans, etc.)
- Developing Weatherby updates for the corporate intranet by researching, writing, and editing content
- Assisting with content and social media outlets as needed
- Assisting with various assignments for communication-related events, as needed
- Assisting with writing promotional communications and employee incentives
Qualifications:
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills are a must
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills; collaborative attitude essential
- Ability to handle multiple projects while meeting all relevant deadlines
- Solid, versatile writing style
- Detail oriented and deadline driven
- Must possess confidence and a professional demeanor to serve the division and represent the corporate communications group
- Expert business relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- 3 - 5 years of communications experience, preferably employee communications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Photoshop
- Experience using alternative storytelling techniques
- Minimum 1-2 years of substantial writing experience, e.g., newspaper/magazine articles (school publication applicable), corporate newsletter, incentive programs, etc.
- Must provide portfolio of work
- Experience with Web content management system (e.g., SharePoint)
- Experience writing for social media
- Experience working with databases
- Experience in publishing industry
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to provide fast turnaround while maintaining superior quality and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with grace under pressure, working flexible hours when needed
- Flexibility to meet changing demands within the division
- Must be able to express ideas clearly and logically to individuals and groups
- Self-motivated to initiate discussion, evaluate own work, and complete projects on time
