Duties: The Patient Certification Advocate works with the Certification Management Unit and is a key stakeholder for ensuring that CMNs(Certificate of Medical Necessity) and related paperwork documents are received in a timely manager for recurring billing. This position supports the reimbursement management unit and works to ensure any denials related to CMNs and medical records are obtained in a timely fashion. This position works initial, revised and upcoming CMNs. The successful person will meet or exceed daily/weekly goals and will carry out Inogen's values.
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of Medicare program rules
- Excellent customer service, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work multiple systems and multitask
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of Medicare and/or insurance billing experience preferably for oxygen or HME billing
- Experience with billing software
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
