Description: The Merchant Ecommerce at Express is responsible for translating the knowledge of the target customer into an actionable internet business plan to achieve budgeted sales and profit plans for their category. � Tracks and analyzes sales information, in partnership with Ecommerce Planners, Brand Planners, and Brand Merchants, to inform short and long term business planning, seasonal product development strategies, and weekly/daily merchandising tactics. � Develops seasonal, quarterly, monthly and weekly merchandising stories/themes and product initiatives that align with key category/classification strategies for chain and internet. � Responsible for the launch of each corresponding weekly (or more frequent) site and email update. � Attend seasonal cross-functional meetings and interpret Brand view into eCommerce marketing and business initiatives that drive the plan and support overall brand vision � Partner with Digital Creative and Online Merchants to develop special shop concepts, page layouts, navigation, and other solutions to maximize sales and customer experience through a brand-right filter. � Partners with Online Merchants to provide and review KPI-related insight into digital channel performance, by category and shopping experience, through digital channel metrics and analytics. � Shops online competition to identify trends and opportunities. � Manages team of 1 or 2 direct reports for growth and development. Merchandising: � Develop strong, lasting, and on-going relationships with cross-functional partners within ecommerce and across the organization � Attend weekly/monthly/seasonal chain strategy meetings and prepare ecommerce strategy contributions for the department that drive sales � Partner with Store Merchant to understand department initiatives and translate into a actionable ecommerce strategy � Partner with Merchandising Manager and ecommerce planning team on weekly/monthly/seasonal/yearly ecommerce assortment opportunities by department; online exclusives/inventory opportunities/deliveries. � Participate in weekly ecommerce cross-functional meetings and identify opportunities and risks within the business � Participate in weekly Brands merchandising meetings to understand key business trends and on-going one-off merchandising requests/meetings based on business and season. � Content Management: � Partnering with Merchandising Manager, translate monthly chain floorsets into Webset Document (site roadmap) and maintain on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. � Manage the relationship between eCommerce Merchandising,Traffic and Creative to ensure merchandising vision is executed. � Manage the brief turn-in process as it relates to the home & landing pages, emails, and other site efforts. � Own and manage daily changes based on business needs through the Action Request process � Manage Assistant Merchant and Sample Coordinator positions through the product activation process to ensure product is activate on time for each floorset launch � Partner with the Online Merchant to ensure product is strategically merchandised in categories and collections � In collaboration with Online Merchants and eCommerce Development Team, review all links and creative for accuracy prior to go live dates. Web Analysis: � Partner with Online Merchant team to deliver the following: o Collate and prepare useful customer insights on products and experience using the Bazaarvoice Workbench o Compile and prepare quarterly online merchandising results in preparation for hindsight meetings and align analysis with Merchandising Manager o Optimized online presentation and navigation based on daily, weekly and monthly web analytics o Create relevant reporting and analysis to read and communicate online business trends through Adobe Analytics and Microstrategy Qualifications:
