What you’ll be doing …
As Sales Area Manager- Enterprise, you will work with assigned Account Managers as the Inside Sales Manager, and be responsible for managing inside sales for Tableau’s Enterprise Accounts. You’ll manage the sales process throughout the sales cycle including prospecting, product demonstrations over the web, sales engineering assistance, account management, writing proposals, and closing business. This role is a quota-carrying sales position that plays an integral role in the success of the overall sales team. 
Some of the things you’ll be doing include …
  • Represent Tableau and its product suite in customer accounts of all sizes and industries
  • Meet and exceed direct sales goals within assigned geographic territory
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process including lead generation, qualification, evaluation, close and account care
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and assess sales potential with the ability to move a large number of transaction simultaneously through the sales pipeline
  • Manage and track customer and transactional information into web-based system; logging all sales activity within the established processes; keeping customer account current and accurate
  • Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including product support and sales engineering
  • Provide product demonstration to prospects
  • Work effectively within a team environment to maximize revenue potential and ensure customer success
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Who you are …
  • Experienced.  You have at least one year of software sales experience, including quotas, transaction volume and activity levels (calls, demos, meetings, etc.).  
  • Amazing Salesperson.  You have a desire, even an obsession, to bring / expand customers into the Tableau franchise and maximize revenue. You have demonstrated transactional sales experience including prospecting and assessing sales potential over the phone and web; moving a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline and closing them quickly.
  • Data Rock Star. Aptitude to become a master of Tableau’s product capabilities, underlying technology and competitive advantages. This requires the ability to become deeply fluent in the technology and the industry.
  • Missionary.  You “get it” and understand Tableau’s mission deeply in some way. You believe Tableau will become one of the most important technology companies in the world, you want to be a contributing member of a winning sales team, and you want to have fun all the way.
  • Domain.  As you will be working directly with Tableau’s most strategic accounts, prior account management experience is preferred. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
