Job: Software Engineer 2 eBay

Job Location: Bellevue, WA

In this role, you’ll be joining the Seller Insights team, a new team that recently joined eBay through the acquisition of Decide.com and is part of eBay’s Marketplace business. Our team is comprised of technology entrepreneurs, product and engineering leaders, and data scientists who share a passion for building next-generation products that consumers and sellers love to use. We also pride ourselves on moving quickly

Our team’s charter is to grow eBay’s revenue and seller satisfaction rating through multiple initiatives, including:

· Providing smart guidance to sellers of all sizes - from casual consumer sellers up to the very largest retailers - to optimize their businesses.

· Evolving the eBay Insights analytics suite, delivering actionable insights to business sellers in areas like pricing, listing optimization, and product demand.

Job Requirements

-Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
-Solid understanding of object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java
-Experience working with REST-based web services
-2+ years of Java experience
-Exposure to automated testing, including functional testing, unit testing frameworks, and test-driven development
-Experience with cloud computing, Scala, and at least one scripting language (e.g. Ruby, JavaScript) are pluses
-Autonomous, self-driven, and ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies and projects
-Strong collaboration and communication skills
