Responsibilities:
Major Responsibilities:Assembles patient and mobile meal trays/meals in accordance with approved diet guidelines and portions while adheringto productivity standards.Checks patient meal trays for accuracy before delivery and makes necessary alternative selections.Loads and transports food carts; delivers patient meal trays to patient rooms in accordance with established procedures.May provide initial service to visitors in the cafeteria by serving food, maintaining cleanliness of the cafeteria, andoperating the cash register.Performs cleaning duties using established sanitation procedures in the kitchen and cafeteria. Washes pots, pans, anddishes according to established procedures.Prepares snacks, beverages, sandwiches and other patient food items in accordance with approved diet guidelines andportions while adhering to productivity standards.Delivers and stocks nursing units, doctors' lounge, same day surgery, and emergency room following establishedprocedures while adhering to productivity standards.
Replenishes food service areas to include supply of dishes, foods, beverages, condiments, and other establishedsupplies. Assists in catering events as needed.Monitors food temperatures and utilizes established procedures to insure safe food handling techniques and preventbacteria contamination.Contributes to quality improvement activities by making suggestions for improvements in processes and supports change efforts in the organization and department. Assists in the training of new employees to insure knowledge in all areas.
Qualifications:
Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
Good communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
Desired Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred.Minimum one-year of food service preferred, such as hotel/restaurant experience.
Scheduled Hours:
We currently have the following openings:
Casual positions - Varied hours and shifts 
Weekends: Yes - variable 8 hour days or 4 hour pms.
Holidays: Yes - variable
On-Call Required: No
