Job Summary

Rides on truck and collects refuse on designated route.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by location.

Gathers and carries containers from individual yards or locations along route and dumps refuse from containers onto truck.

Starts hoisting device that raises refuse bin attached to rear of truck.

Dumps contents into opening in enclosed truck body.

Gathers separated recycling materials and dumps them into recycling bins on garbage truck.

Assists in unloading and cleaning garbage truck at dump site.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Required: Six months previous experience.

Preferred: High school diploma or G.E.D

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

None Required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Not required.
