Perry Homes is seeking a Junior Recruiter to join our team at our corporate office located near Hobby Airport.

Summary of Position
Perform full-cycle recruitment for assigned open positions and support the Human Resources Department of Perry Homes in the areas of recruitment and retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Facilitate full-cycle recruitment for assigned job openings to include but not limited to: Utilize various internal and external sourcing methods to obtain resumes for open positions; conduct and document initial phone screens for candidates; conduct interviews; inform candidates of job requirements, company benefits and company overview materials; ensure transcripts are provided; arrange for profiling by consultants and receive the profile feedback; prepare summaries of candidates strengths and weaknesses for subsequent interviews; coordinate subsequent and final interviews; extend conditional employment offers; provide drug testing information to candidates; and coordinate start dates and training schedules with appropriate supervisors.
  • Prepare reports for the Human Resources Department.
  • Fulfill strategic recruitment and public relations activities that may include job fairs, career events, and professional networking events.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Conduct performance follow-up meetings with new employees and their managers.
  • Provide support to the Vice President of Human Resources with projects and assignments assigned.
  • Provide phone coverage at the receptionist desk as needed.
  • Frequently must complete projects on a very short notice with extreme time constraints.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including those set forth in writing in the Employee Handbook and elsewhere.
  • Maintain high level of decorum and professionalism.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. Applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Requires 1-3 years of relevant, professional experience in human resources with an emphasis on full-cycle recruiting; experience with behavioral interviewing a plus.
  • Must possess strong knowledge of proactive sourcing options. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize work flow. Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with the utilization of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and resume database systems, Taleo a plus.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and recruiting team.
