Casual/As Needed openings are currently available with the Hennepin Health Foundation.  Flexibility needed for evenings and weekend coverage.  Please note these are considered grant funded positions and are not benefit eligible.
Generosity Associates are responsible for supporting the work of the foundation by building relationships with, and meeting the personal and giving needs of staff, visitors and patients; modeling Patient and Family Centered Care behaviors and skills and performing tasks related to foundation development activities.


Qualificiations:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least six months retail sales/guest service experience or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a customer or client service position within a retail, hospitality and/or patient centered healthcare environment.
  • Post High School coursework in philanthropy/development, non-profit management, marketing, public relations, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
Knowledge/Skills/Ability:
  • Cheerful, friendly, outgoing demeanor
  • Ability to provide guest service effectively and pleasantly in a busy, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Ability to work effectively and sensitively with a diverse population.
  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and take direction
  • Ability to learn and consistently practice the Building Connections and Patient and Family Centered skills and behaviors.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy statement of Professional Standards and Conduct.
  • Learns and practices consistently the Centered Around You behaviors.
  • Models relationship building and Patient and Family Centered Care Connections skills to other generosity associates and HHS staff.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Good communication skills.
**Physical ability to stand and/or walk for long periods, able to lift up to 50 lbs.


General Responsibilities:
  • Assists guest in-person or by phone in the selection, processing and the delivery of guest selected items.
  • Explores guest needs using Connections Skills and assists in meeting their needs and desire for giving.
  • Promotes the mission of HCMC and HHF in guest transactions that are positive and reinforce the value of Generosity.
  • Markets and promotes the services of the Generosity Center to HHS staff.
  • Ensures Generosity Centers are open for business and ready to respond to guest needs. Involves opening and closing Generosity Centers and maintaining a welcoming, engaging, and visually appealing environment. This includes re-filling of items to ensure guests are able to select depending upon their unique needs.
  • Supports the development activities of the Generosity Center(s) and HHF via a variety of tasks including outreach to guests and donors, assistance with the building of guest and donor relationships, identified promotional and development efforts, thank you calls to donors, special events, etc.
  • Related duties as assigned
