In this role you will:
Be under the direction of the Director of IT, is responsible for the on-site support and administration of all Apple devices including but not limited to MAC desktops, Mac laptops, iPads, iPhones, and their ancillary peripherals, applications and software packages. Candidate will work as part of Client Services to provide installation, configuration, troubleshooting/maintenance of said devices, as well as integration with Windows based resources
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as primary point of support for all MAC workstations & laptops, as well as Apple tablets and mobile devices, including, iPads and iPhones
- Additionally support PC platforms, and integrate MAC clients into Windows enterprise, specifically mapping file & printer shares hosted on windows servers, joining systems to Active Directory, and integrating with exchange email.
- Remotely troubleshoot hardware systems (i.e. PCs. MACs, FAX, printers, peripherals, and scanners)
- Help with equipment refresh and upgrades, and manage systems collectively using enterprise solutions & best practices
- Must be able to communicate with non-technical users
- Log calls/incidents/outages in Help Desk System
- Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing environment and maintain inventory of assets and installed software licenses.
- Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade operating systems.
- Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade hardware and software including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) as well as Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Research and recommend hardware and software to improve manageability and user productivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration.
- Record and maintain hardware and software inventories, licensing, and user access and security platforms (AV, etc)
- Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware and peripherals to include; network cards, printers, modems, mice and add-in boards.
- Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
- Create and maintain system documentation, procedures, and inventory, including system problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.
- Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members.
- Provide computer orientation to new company staff.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Apple Certification (ACA, ACSP, etc)
- Comp TIA A+ Certification
- Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCTS, etc)
- 3+ years of IT support experience
- Experience Desktop Administration & Support in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge of company supported hardware, software and operating systems to include configuration and connectivity.
- Solid knowledge of MAC OSX Support & Administration skills
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP/7, & 2003/2008 Server operating systems
- Fundamental knowledge of Active Directory
- Experience with Microsoft Office XP/2007/2010 applications
- Experience with Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Fundamental comprehension & support corporate networks: tcp/ip, Ethernet, ping, traceroute, DNS
- Ability to manage time, competing priorities, and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
- Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software.
- Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions. Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC/MAC applications and systems.
- Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs.
- Knowledge of security best practices & procedures
- Ability to determine the nature of computer hardware and systems software problems, and to communicate technical guidance and information to users.
- Ability to learn and support new hardware, software and operating systems.
- Responsibilities may require occasional evening and weekend work.
