Description



As a Cash Service Representative you are the receiving associate for our cash vault. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, counting and receiving deposit bags from the armored couriers, processing key bag numbers and dollar amounts into the computer and reconciling the number of bags accepted from the armored courier. In addition, you may utilize high volume equipment to process, sort and reconcile a high volume of coin deposits. The environment in which you work is a high volume production and security monitored area. You will be required to meet production goals, meet department deadlines, and will be responsible for all logged deposits. Division Highlights
Cash Services (CS) is comprised of four specific operational functions: Vault Services, ATM Deposit Services, Bank by Mail, and Remote Image Capture. Associates working in the Vault Services locations process deposits, verify cash components of deposits and provide change orders of currency and coin. ATM Deposit Services sites process deposits received at ATMs. Bank by Mail units process transactions received through the mail from consumer customers. Remote Image Capture sites capture deposited checks and provide same-day credit rather than having to physically transfer paper to a Bank of America check processing location.

Cash Services is organized into 3 regions: North, South Central and West. There are 125 strategic vault locations; 61 of which are owned and operated by Bank of America. In other markets, customers are serviced by contracted suppliers. Vault Services supports a network of 6,100 banking centers and supplies currency for many of the 18,500 bank-owned ATMs. Deposits received at ATMs are processed in 9 ATM Deposit Services sites. Transactions received through the mail are processed in 2 Bank by Mail operations units.
 

Qualifications


Requirements: At a minimum must have:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong math skills
  • Flexibility; if work completed before end of shift will be released
  • Ability to work overtime, weekend and holidays as required with minimal notice
  • Experience handling a high volume of cash
  • Attention to detail
  • Complete tasks error free and in a timely manner
  • Ability to interpret and follow policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with bank policies to include state and federal regulations
  • Concise and legible writing skills

PURPOSE OF JOB
Develops, implements and monitors related P&C policies and strategic and tactical operational business initiatives to manage indemnity, fraud, expense, service, quality and regulatory compliance. Supports P&C senior management (staff and operations) on all P&C initiatives, projects, and operational activities.
JOB DUTIES
  • Develops and implements assigned projects, policies and business initiatives to ensure consistency of claims service, quality and regulatory compliance. Researches, identifies, and implements changes in existing policies, tools, and work processes. Acts as SME on assigned projects.
  • Monitors and provides technical claims direction, controls, and expertise to region personnel on issues relating to high risk exposure from an indemnity, fraud, expense, process, or quality perspective. Assists regional personnel as needed in preparation of appropriate documentation. May represent, testify and assist on behalf of USAA at mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, trials and pre-trial/trial
    activities for P&C Litigation cases.
  • Assesses changes in state and federal legislation and litigation for trends, issues, and precedents impacting claims service and regulatory compliance. Identifies implications and industry positions on emerging trends and issues. Monitors emerging technologies, benchmarks competitors and networks with industry counterparts to identify issues impacting claims service and expense.
  • May assist Procurement in the identification, recruitment, screening and selection of contracted vendors. Supervises vendor contract compliance and provides periodic reports on contract performance.
  • Partners to create and execute claims related training programs.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree or High School Diploma & 5 years of insurance industry experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelors degree.
  • 5+ years P&C insurance industry or Claims functional work experience.
  • Computer literate in a Windows operating environment.
  • Working knowledge of relevant MicroSoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with or commitment to pursue Lean Six Sigma certification.
Preferred
  • Frontline MSRs with strong IT/Computer Science, Communications, Process Engineering, or Analytical Designation or Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3+ years prior experience as an Auto Injury Adjustor or Auto Claims Manager Claims experience in utilizing conflict management skills, decision making skills and self-directed skills.
  • Proven experience and knowledge in P&C Claims process or project work experience.
  • Demonstrated committment to self development (CPCU, SCLA, AIC, advanced degree etc).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in internal and external environments with various levels of leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate, multi-task and build strong working relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
  • Proven ability to identify and anticipate critical business issues and to implement appropriate responses.

PURPOSE OF JOBAnalyzes customer and system requirements, design and implementation to ensure feasibility of contingency plans. Partners with Enterprise Risk Management to assess risks and threats to the organization and proposes mitigation strategies. Develops comprehensive recovery and testing plans, and supports efforts in recovery planning coordination with business and peer partners. Implements industry best practices, such as ITSCM, to ensure effective planning processes. Ensures appropriate business continuation plans are in place for continued operations. Develops and executes testing exercises to validate plans. Identifies and supports training initiatives for crisis response personnel and efforts of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Situational Management Teams.
JOB DUTIES
  • Acquires and applies broad knowledge of the business, its products, and processes.
  • Resolves issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.
  • Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.
  • Oversees operations and provides technical advice regarding the use of communication and collaboration equipment.
  • Plans and directs recall of EOC staff as deemed appropriate.
  • Leads collaboration efforts with other businesses and staff agencies.
  • Facilitates Joint Planning Group sessions.
  • Performs command and control responsibilities in the absence of management.
  • Performs analysis of situations and incidents and recommends solutions.
  • This position may require employee to work alternative shifts when required to meet mission imperatives.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or 6 years relevant experience).
  • 4+ years in a command and control/emergency management environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to rapidly assess a situation and determine best course of action.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift around a 24/7 time frame.
Preferred
  • 6+ years experience working in military operations centers (ex: command posts) or emergency management experience.
  • Leadership experience in directing multi-dimensional teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of collaboration tools (Cisco Meeting Place, Tele-Presence, and WebEOC).
  • Advanced knowledge of Incident Command System (ICS).
  • Ability to aggregate, analyze and disseminate information to executive leaders.
  • Thorough knowledge of USAA and lines of business.
